Certifications and Third Party Testing

Our Commitment to Quality

Most Brands Only Show In-House COAs

Many supplement companies stop at showing a manufacturer’s Certificate of Analysis (COA), which is often created by the same in-house lab that produced the product. This is the bare minimum for compliance, but it isn’t true independent testing.

GMP Testing Is Often In-House

All of our products are manufactured in an NSF-certified, GMP-compliant facility, where testing is required for every batch before release. While GMP ensures products are tested, many facilities still use their own internal labs.

We Use Independent Testing Before Encapsulation

Unlike brands that rely only on in-house labs, our manufacturer uses an independent third-party lab to test every batch of raw materials and blends before encapsulation. This step ensures purity and potency before the product is even bottled.

We Go Further With Eurofins Post-Bottling Verification

After encapsulation and bottling, we send finished products to Eurofins, one of the world’s largest and most trusted independent labs. This provides an extra layer of verification for purity, potency, and safety, so you can be fully confident that what’s on the label is exactly what’s in the bottle.

How to Read Our Eurofins Results

When you look at a Eurofins Certificate of Analysis (COA), each report focuses on product safety and purity. Here’s what Eurofins tests for:

Microbial Safety
Tested for harmful microbes, all of which were absent in our results:

  • E. coli: Must be completely absent in tested samples (0 CFU/g).
  • Salmonella: Must be completely absent (0 CFU/25 g).
  • Staphylococcus aureus: Must be completely absent (0 CFU/g).
  • Yeast & Mold: Acceptable levels are typically <100 CFU/g for premium supplements (standard limit often <1000 CFU/g).
  • Total Aerobic Bacteria (TAMC): Acceptable levels are typically <1000 CFU/g (colony forming units per gram).

Heavy Metals
Tested for heavy metals, all of which were well below safety limits in our results:

  • Lead: Must be ≤10 µg/day (USP <2232> limit).
  • Arsenic (inorganic): Must be ≤15 µg/day.
  • Cadmium: Must be ≤4.1 µg/day.
  • Mercury: Must be ≤2 µg/day.

Our Eurofins reports show heavy metals in parts per billion (ppb). This is 1,000 times more precise than parts per million (ppm), which many competitors use. PPB looks like a bigger number at first glance, but it’s actually a finer scale: 1 ppm = 1,000 ppb.

To calculate actual exposure, multiply the ppb number by capsule weight in grams and divide by 1,000.

Example:
If a capsule weighs 0.5 g and the lab reports 124 ppb of lead:

  • 124 × 0.5 ÷ 1000 = 0.062 µg per capsule
  • That’s only 0.62% of the daily USP limit (10 µg/day)

This shows our results are not just compliant but comfortably below industry safety standards.

Suitability Tests
Confirm that the product’s capsule form does not interfere with detection, meaning the results are reliable.

What is Third-Party Testing & Why It Matters

Third-party testing means that an independent, unbiased organization evaluates our products to confirm they meet the highest standards for quality, safety, and label accuracy. This process ensures that our supplements are free from contaminants, accurately dosed, and safe for your use.

Through Eurofins, we test for:
  • Purity: Ensuring no harmful contaminants like heavy metals, pesticides, or microbes are present.
  • Potency: Verifying that the active ingredients match the amounts listed on the label.
  • Safety: Confirming that our products are safe for consumption and free from banned substances.

Why We Use USP-Grade 99.5% Purity Methylene Blue

At Nutricel, we believe that quality starts with the raw materials. That’s why we exclusively use USP-grade Methylene Blue with 99.5% purity in our capsules. But what does this mean, and why is it so important?

  • What is USP-Grade? USP (United States Pharmacopeia) grade is a standard set by an independent, non-profit organization that ensures pharmaceutical ingredients meet strict quality, purity, and potency criteria. USP-grade Methylene Blue is manufactured under stringent guidelines to guarantee it is suitable for human use.
  • Why 99.5% Purity? This exceptional level of purity means that our Methylene Blue is virtually free from impurities or contaminants—down to the smallest measurable fraction. Most Methylene Blue on the market is of lower purity, often intended for industrial or laboratory use, which can include trace amounts of heavy metals or other harmful substances. By using 99.5% pure USP-grade Methylene Blue, we ensure that you receive only the highest quality compound, optimized for safety and effectiveness.
  • Why It’s Important: Methylene Blue is a powerful compound often used for its potential cognitive and cellular health benefits. However, impurities in lower-grade versions can pose health risks or reduce efficacy. Our commitment to 99.5% purity USP-grade Methylene Blue ensures that you’re getting a product that is not only safe but also delivers the maximum potential benefits without compromise. Your health is our priority, and we refuse to cut corners when it comes to the ingredients we use.
